About

Meet Allison
First and foremost, I want to say hi and thank you so much for clicking to read more about me and why I created SBA. I am assuming you are here because you want to learn more about, or even share the same passion as me - fashion! My fashion journey started when I was very young and was instantly drawn to beautiful clothing and accessories, or should I say I was instantly drawn to spending all of my babysitting money on it! Either way, I loved it so much that I got a job at a high end retail store in high school. I actually thought I wanted to be a doctor and had started taking pre-med classes in high school and realized after the first year that it was not meant for me. I quickly switched courses and applied to the Fashion Institute where I got my degree in Fashion Design. I continued to work for top fashion retailers in sales, management and visuals throughout college. After I graduated, I worked with a well known jeweler in the heart of Beverly Hills on a very special licensing deal that was a girl’s dream! I mean, who wouldn’t want to work with diamonds in Beverly Hills? After that, I was lead to a new career in manufacturing luxury bedding, I know - hard left right?!! I manufactured some of the finest down products and Italian Linens in the world. It was an amazing ten years of my life where I got to create and design with some of the most luxurious textiles on the market. I also was blessed with the opportunity to private label for many luxury home brands and was so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with some of the most exclusive clients in the world. After a decade in the luxury home textiles industry, I put my career on hold to have and raise our two beautiful and amazing little girls who happen to be self-proclaimed mini fashionista’s. Fast forward to the age for both of our girls to be in school full time and me trying to figure out what I wanted my next career move to be. SBA was created serendipitously. I had been wondering how I could go back to work in a creative industry, preferably back in fashion, where I could have my own company and be my own boss again. And then it happened, out of the blue I was asked by my amazing first client to be her stylist. That was when I created SBA Private Styling, short for Styled by Allison. It also happens to be the first initials of my two daughters and myself, another sign of it being meant to be. And here I am today, blessed to be balancing all of my passions. Fashion, textiles, owning my own business, being creative, making things beautiful, building amazing partnerships and relationships with and for my clients, all while doing my best to be the most ‘bad ass’ mom and inspiration to two of the most incredible little girls in the world.
